About McKarls

McKarls has been behind the bar since 2015 and works around 40 weddings a year. The team builds its drinks from fresh-pressed juices and house-made syrups, and comes to a wedding as a full bar operation rather than staff for hire: they hold the licence to sell alcohol through their catering programme, carry a $5 million umbrella policy, and handle set design and the drinks menu alongside the service itself.

The bartenders behind McKarls work some of the most exclusive events in the region, including the TPC Sawgrass Players Clubhouse and Masters Lawn Parties, and have built cocktail menus for Nomu Izakaya, Pecan Craft Kitchen and Viva Hospitality. That shows up at a wedding as attention to detail rather than volume. They are the right fit for couples who want guests to remember the bar for the hospitality and the drinks, and who care that the juices and syrups were made fresh rather than poured from a bottle.

Questions couples ask

Do you have a liquor license?

Yes, we have a license to sell alcohol when we are providing food for your event with our catering program.

Do you have insurance, and can you list me as additional insured?

As the alcohol purveyor we thought it was best to have a $5 million umbrella policy, and we are more than happy to list you and the venue as additional insured.

Do you have a bartending license?

In Florida there is no requirement for a license to serve alcohol. Our team is TIPS certified and we have a business license in the state of Florida.

Do you serve mocktails?

Yes. We love making mocktails, because most of our drinks come from fresh-pressed juices and syrups. You can't have a good cocktail without a good base.

What do couples most often get wrong when booking a bar service?

That we are a full service provider. We can handle every aspect of the bar, including the liquor license, set design, and experiential concepts like clarified cocktails, branded cocktail foams and roaming beverage service.

Who handles communication once we book?

There is a full operating team from the moment you inquire until the end of your service. Good communication is part of being hospitable.
