About Coastal Creations Video

Coastal Creations Video has been filming weddings in St. Augustine for over 14 years, and shoots around 24 a year. The signature product is a long-form film that keeps the day in its entirety - candid, closer in feel to a home video, and fully edited rather than handed over raw. Shorter highlight and mid-length films are also available, and 4K coverage and drone footage come with the booking rather than as paid add-ons.

It is a good fit for couples who want to relive the whole day and hear from the family and friends who were there, and is blunt about being "not a luxury videographer." Two habits shape the films: family members, and especially grandparents, get asked for marital advice on camera, and the real audio of the day is kept rather than muted under music. 360 videography is also offered, described as letting a couple be a guest at their own wedding.

Credentials & experience

Questions couples ask

Are you insured? My venue requires it.

Yes, fully insured.

What is your turnaround time?

Typically 12 weeks.

What is your deposit?

20% down holds the date.

What happens if you get sick? Can someone cover for you?

In his own words: "I've never missed a wedding day in my entire career."

Will you work well with my photographer?

Yes. He communicates with the other vendors and, in his words, always plays nice.

My photographer offers video too. Why hire a dedicated videographer?

Because a dedicated videographer does more than mimic what the photographer is filming - different coverage, different audio, and a film built as a film.
