St. Augustine wedding transportation
Transportation matters more in St. Augustine than in most wedding towns, because most of the downtown venues have no parking of their own. Guests end up in the city garage, and the gap between the garage and the venue is the couple's problem to solve.
The usual answers are a shuttle running between the garage and the venue, or accepting that guests will walk through town in wedding clothes, or letting everyone sort out street parking on their own. Only the first of those is reliable.
Nights of Lights makes this harder. From late November into January the town fills with visitors, and the same traffic and parking that make the season beautiful for guests staying the weekend also make it slower to move a hundred people across town on a Saturday evening.

Do wedding guests need a shuttle in St. Augustine?
For most downtown venues it is the most reliable option, because those venues do not have their own parking and guests would otherwise park in the city garage and walk.
Where do wedding guests park in downtown St. Augustine?
The city parking garage is the main option, along with street parking and a few small lots behind buildings such as the Lightner Museum. Venues outside the historic core, like Fountain of Youth and River House, have their own lots.
Does Nights of Lights affect wedding transportation?
Yes. The season draws large numbers of visitors downtown from late November into January, which affects both traffic and parking availability on a wedding day.
